We had a TOP night in London tonite! went for some amazing food with our v good friends at EMI. Seriously - how nice are these people?!! Whatever you hear about record company people - its crap!! The people who do the grass roots jobs are ace!! Really special people who just share a love of music!!

After food we went to Soho Revue bar to see Julian Vellard. He's like a modern day Billy Joel!

Johnny Depp ...really?!?

We in Proud in Camden, some guy comes in our booth and say's 'Hey have you seen a girl with pink hair?', we say 'No', he say's 'Ok can i sit with you?' We say 'Knock yourself out' , he's say's 'I look like Johnny Depp', we say, 'Really, who told you that? You look like Jimmy Mistry!', he puts his head in his hands, we think, 'Whats up with that?' He goes, nothing, obviously devastated we don't think he looks like Johnny Depp'

Hhhmmmmm right we been running riot over the weekend at The Electric Proms, stealing guitars, life coaching backing singers and reluctantly refraining from pushing Johnny Borrell off the stage during sound check...

Now we're back and we're looking forward to having a buff load of drinks tomorrow at The Garratt! THE UNSTOPPABLE TEAM are playing an electric set there...could be mistaken but think they're the only band and have free reign to do what ever they want for as long as they want! And best of all its FREE - so come down and GET DRUNK and have buff around on a Weds evening!

We've had a slight change of plan to Sunday's shenanigans...unfortunately Agent Ribbons are not going to be here as they've been deported back to California due to a problem with their Visas....buff!!


We are still going ahead though and we have the lovely Orchids in to replace them and a superb DJ set from Jon Brookes of The Charlatans, so get your buff's down!


Also can't wait for the Arcadian Kicks who are a must see!

Glastonbury 2008

So we've finally recovered from Glasto - well just about! We feel things may never be the same again!! We ended up DJing twice over the weekend at the Late N' Live stage. Friday saw us buff up the decks with a swinging motown set - to much joy from the Sound Guys & The Channel M lovelies. Sunday eve saw more of a funky hip hop vibe as we warmed up for the lovely Unstoppable Boys. Was top! Roll on next month for more buff dj madness!

SAT 14TH JUNE 2008 - WARM UP TO GLASTO

Warming up for the scorcher that this year's Glastonbury Festival promises we're taking Buff Bang Pow! to the Roadhouse! The line up consists of 4 great bands who in their own right are making a big impact on Manchesters music scene …3 of which will be heading over to perform on the Late 'n' Live stage at Glastonbury at the end of June….

HEY BULLDOG – Formed as a band in 2007 Hey Bulldog have already appeared live on Steve Lamacq’s BBC 6 music show - the band gained their first nationwide exposure as his unsigned band of the week, they have also appeared on several local radio stations (including XFM and The Revolution). 


ELGAZELLE – Local lads Elgazelle bring back the original essence of Indie rock n roll totally apt for the Buff Bang Pow stage and any other stage for that matter, they’re guaranteed to start the party off!
